Long John and the Tights is an old time string band from Ithaca, New York. We play music that became popular in the southern Appalachian mountains from around 1920 - 1940, mixing in some elements of today's celtic, bluegrass, and northern square & contra-dance music.

John Hoffmann plays fiddle with Stefan Senders on 5-string banjo, Randi Beckmann on piano, and Jim Reidy on banjo uke, and now with Sally Freund on bass.
